Samsung NC10-14GB 10.2-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life Review

Samsung NC10-14GB 10.2-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life
I got this almost a year ago, use it only on my home wireless network, and have had no real problems. A few minor issues were resolved by googling, reading the forums at [...], and just getting reacquainted with my router. From others’ experiences, I guess I’m lucky not to need Samsung support.

Samsung N140-14B 10.1-Inch Sapphire Blue Netbook - Up to 7.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Samsung N140-14B 10.1-Inch Sapphire Blue Netbook - Up to 7.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
Amazing quality finish. Battery life exceeded my expectations, between 8 and 11 hours and no lost charge when off.
Excellent keyboard. Snappy performance. Nice matt screen.
2 downs are touchpad could have been slightly bigger, and screen res could have been 768 high instead of 600. Otherwise everything else is perfect.

Samsung NC10-14GW 10.2-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 6 Cell Battery, XP Home) White Review

Samsung NC10-14GW 10.2-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 6 Cell Battery, XP Home) White
Owned my NC10 about year now. It was shipped to me with a somewhat annoying manufacture defect (google for “nc10 lcd blotches”) I lived with it but just before the warranty ran I decided to get it fixed. The Samsung web site for opening a service request really sucked (it had bugs and did not work no matter which browser I tried to use) however there was option to chat with a service rep and they were great. Opened a ticket for me. Emailed me shipping label. I shipped my laptop in (Samsung paid both ways) and a week later got it back with LCD replaced. It is in great shape now. Very glad I went with Samsung for the warranty service. btw: The LCD defect only affected early units shipped in late 2008.

Samsung GO N310-13GO 10.1-Inch Sunset Orange Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life Review

Samsung GO N310-13GO 10.1-Inch Sunset Orange Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life
I bought this version of the 310 while on holiday in the US as it is considerably cheaper there than the UK. Apart from price I was attracted by the 6 cell battery which extends the otherwise average battery life to a good 8 hours or so. But …. the larger battery does add to the weight (1.36Kg or 3 lbs) and means that there is a substantial bulge along the underside at the back, making it less sleek and portable than the standard version with the shorter battery life. The screen is clear and bright but quite reflective, making it a bit difficult to see in bright environments. The keyboard is pretty much perfect for me - no problems, but then I have quite small fingers. Performance is pretty much what you would expect as its innards are pretty much netbook standard components. Having said all this, the longer battery life really does make a huge difference to its useability. I find that I am using it far more than a previous notebook because i’m not having to charge it up all the time. So, the longer battery life makes a difference even if you are not taking long flights or train journeys. Am I happy with it? Pretty much, especially for the price. As a closet style victim I do still get a kick out of the lovely orange, slightly rubbery case. But I’m still looking forward to a 1 kg 12″ ultra-portable with an SSD drive and decent performance that’s under 00. Or maybe I could get my work to buy me a Sony - don’t be silly I work for the NHS!

Samsung N120-12GW 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 6 Cell Battery Review

Samsung N120-12GW 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 6 Cell Battery
” After a couple of weeks’ travel (which is what I got it for) I’m pretty happy with this little netbook. Keyboard is as close to full-size as possible for a small netbook. Mousepad and buttons are well laid out. Battery life is excellent; I never came close to running down between recharges. Windows can reportedly be upgraded.

The only annoyance is that the function keys are not explained anywhere; others have complained online about this. And a few times it went into numeric keypad mode and refused to reset. It finally cleared with Fn-F11-Scroll Lock. (Actually, since there is no Scroll Lock, I used either Sys Rq or Insert instead). “
