Acer Aspire One AOD250-1116 10.1-Inch Red Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life Review

This netbook has a lot of advantages-
Windows XP: a proven operating system- I tolerate Vista, and will not even consider Windows 7 for at least another year; gotta let all the eager beavers beta test it first.
Light weight, easily packed for travel. We purchased the netbook for our son to take with him during deployment. (Built in webcam- just add Skype.)
INTEL Atom processor- this processor is streamlined and fast moving for it’s size.
Cost- for the money, one cannot purchase much more. I have read concerns about the battery life between charges- how many users are actually that far from a power source? If so, what about purchasing a second OEM battery for less money than the 6 cell?
Disadvantages- this computer should be selling for aroung 0 out the door. If it was, Acer would corner the netbook market.
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor
- 1024MB DDR2 SDRAM Single Channel Memory
- 160GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
- Windows XP Home (SP3), Over 3 Hours of Battery Life (3-Cell 2200 mAh)
- 10.1″ WSVGA CrystalBrite LED Display, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
The Aspire ONE D250 is the ultimate take-me-with-you device! The LED-backlit display presents you with bright, clear imagery for a very enjoyable viewing experience, while a small-yet-powerful processor and large hard disk drive deliver the pleasure of full-size-notebook performance - without the bulk and weight. While you’re out and about, this netbook makes it a breeze to stay in touch with your friends. What’s more, long battery life gives you plenty of juice for extended fun wherever you go.
