Let me begin by saying that the computer is great. Battery life was fantastic, the screen is great, ran fast and was by far the best netbook Ive got to use / own.

Unfortunately, my first came with a problem that would not have recognized the power cord, unless it is disabled. Then the battery, and then turned on only the battery. Toshiba was puzzled, returned to Amazon (thanks to God for the great policy of Amazon customer service).

While netbooks are very attractive, because its ultra-portability, a mini-laptops, they are not necessarily the hardcore gaming devices with even more hardcore gamers. Probably the only worthy gaming netbook is the ASUS N10J, but even with this model Netbook players have to rein in their expectations and attitudes on netbook minimum levels.

All this will change, however, as more and more chip manufacturers directly into the netbook marketProduction Graphics Processing Units (GPU) designed for netbooks.

At the forefront of this development is Nvidia, the media and the plans to introduce a chip-game technology that enables low cost netbooks running high-definition and offer full support for Windows Vista graphics.

I bought this computer as a supplement to my larger computers, and used it to take notes in class. I LOVE this computer! The battery is perfect for what I use for, and the perfect souvenir. The only drawback is that it comes with Microsoft Office - is a trial of Office 2007 that expires after a couple of months. So if you get this computer, remember that you must install 2007 on the network. And because the computer has no floppy disk, you must install either online or with software activation code.

I bought this for two reasons.
1. to have a lightweight, yet usable portable to lug around while traveling.
2. to be able to stream internet video to my TV in France (where I live) and where the VOD via internet market is dominated by Windows.
It is quite satisfactory in both respects. Compared to my iMac, it is, as expected, a bit slow on ordinary operations like opening files, and Windows in frustrating, but I’m getting used to it.

First, I love this netbook. And 'well built, looks great and has all the best keyboard I've seen .. Battery life is beautiful.
Now, for the problem. The touchpad is too sensitive. You must be very careful how you drag your finger on the button if not premature. It 'definitely a design flaw, because there are numerous references to the issue online. Too bad, I would love this computer as a 5 otherwise. I have a Toshiba laptop for 5 years which is built like a tank and still works well, so I bought this netbook over other, less costly in the first place. Toshiba hopefully will come with a solution to this problem.

It seems like all the rage in personal computing lately is the mini laptops or netbook. These netbooks are tiny when compared to many current laptops. The trend for a number of years was to increase screen size and performance, with laptops ballooning out to as large as 22 inch screens and 9 to 10 pounds total weight. This trend has reversed and now small and light are catching consumer’s eyes.

First, the battery does not charge the law so that it is always plugged in. The performance sucked, but thats the norm with the network with their books is 10 years of PC did not. After owning this cheap piece of junk for about 4 months the screen started to develop the web as cracks in the screen until I looked at were black spots and cracks across the screen that starts losing. The computer was then rendered completely useless and dangerous. The computer has never been dropped or hit. Avoid this garbage.

Battery life is exceptional. I have no time, but he ran on and so forth. It would have been nice if the screen has gone on the edges, as would have gained a centimeter in width and height, although the webcam. There are no instructions, so I still try to understand how to use functions. Toshiba expects to cut costs, but not kill fifty cents on a manual for printing.
