Toshiba Mini NB205-N312/BL 10.1-Inch Royal Blue Netbook - 9 Hour Battery LifeReview by Dieter Domanovic (Cleveland, Ohio)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)

Netbook purchasing this weekend last year. I also HP Mini N270 processor and 16GB solid state hard drive.

The screen is clear, has a good layout of the keyboard and processor N280 is faster than the HP. Very minor deficiencies are the fingerprints on the outer side of the touchpad is a (somewhat ') jumps. Touchpad is not smooth as the HP, but not enough for me to think about buying this machine for more than HP.

Battery life is good, because I used about 5 hours and was not charged.

Acer Aspire One AOD250-1116 10.1-Inch Red Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life Review

Acer Aspire One AOD250-1116 10.1-Inch Red Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life
This netbook has a lot of advantages-

Windows XP: a proven operating system- I tolerate Vista, and will not even consider Windows 7 for at least another year; gotta let all the eager beavers beta test it first.

Light weight, easily packed for travel. We purchased the netbook for our son to take with him during deployment. (Built in webcam- just add Skype.)

INTEL Atom processor- this processor is streamlined and fast moving for it’s size.

Samsung NC10-11GP 10.2-Inch Pink Netbook - 6 Cell BatteryReview by Linda (Western Montana)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)

I love this little netbook. Peppy is a euphemism, and I have not yet installed the memory to 2G.
I have seen all the other brands and this program absolutely everything that you really want in a small laptop was.

Lenovo S10-2 10.1-Inch Nature Netbook - Up to 6 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Lenovo S10-2 10.1-Inch Nature Netbook - Up to 6 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
Just got it today. It is pinker than it seems in the picture (I thought it looked sort of lavender). It’s nice and tiny and light. The battery helps position the computer so that it sits up off the work surface and can breathe. The Windows 7 thing seems to be great so far: a lot better than Windows Vista. I’m not sure if it says anywhere in the description, but it comes with Word installed, which makes my life as a student much easier. I’m not a computer expert by any means, but from what I can tell, this easily will serve its purpose as an extra machine to take notes on and take to the library. It’s very quick on the Internet, as well. A great deal for the money…as far as I can see.

Samsung N120-12GW 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 6 Cell BatteryReview by SatyaJZ (Seattle, WA)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)

ordered online - sight unseen - my first netbook - after reading several positive reviews. In addition to its light weight (fundamental), it was a decent keyboard - essential for my large fingers - and a good set of speakers.

In truth, the speaker is not so great, but it was not so important. I like the color and the keyboard. The small size will take some 'getting used to - but I travel a lot - all modes of transport - including cycling, busing, walking - and I can literally wear these days, it is difficult to notice them. This is really the coolest part.

HP Mini 5101 FM955UT 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 4.5 Hours of Battery Life Review

HP Mini 5101 FM955UT 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 4.5 Hours of Battery Life
I am an avid Amazon shopper and will rarely go elsewhere for major purchases but I had no choice because when this model came out, Amazon simply did not have it. I’m very impressed with this Netbook from HP even though like all Netbooks it can be a bit of a headache playing back video files, but mainly it’s the players such as the iTunes and QTime Player that is the headache and these players choke on their own file formats due to DRM and loads of fat in their file formats. I loaded the DivX player and this had resolved the choppy playback on MPEG files for even my older Netbook. Also, VLC media player is an option too, Windows Media player requires a MPEG2 decoder but still plays AVI, WMV files quite nicely. HULU plays well, and I believe Vimeo is the best player for online content. Netflix plays well with even the slowest of Netbooks. I am hoping for a Broadcom HD Graphics Accelerator option just like in the other HP’s latest offerings of Netbooks. The big pluses have to be the much better keyboard design and the mousepad is exactly how all HP Netbooks be configured. The 5101 is not perfect but it is the best looking Netbook, 7200 RPM drive is standard with more choices of GB capacity, 2 MP camera which makes it one of the best in terms of video quality, and the option to upgrade to 2GB which is a nice deal. I love the durakeys, though the case can be a fingerprint magnet and is rugged as heck you’d still want to put this baby in a protective covering. I am so happy HP continued with ruggedized shells, as it is much better than plastic and it looks very nice; very professional. 3 USB ports are perfect and puts it on par with with laptops in terms of USB ports. I’m not missing the Express Slot because there simply is not enough hardware out there to make this slot usable for most people. The Smart Media slot is sufficient. The layout is nice, and there seems to be more layout space and open space for future improvements. Yes, there are two versions of this machine that have Energy Star ratings at budget level (one with the 4 cell and one with the 6 cell battery); that is the only difference or you can configure your system at HP small and medium business site and could run up to 0.00 plus for a top notch machine. I chose the 6 cell battery and I’m pretty happy with it, and in the future will upgrade to a HD version once a Graphics Accelerator that helps the Intel embedded GMA with processing HD video files. Buy the HP 5101 and you will get addicted to it.

Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Cell BatteryReview by Kurian Jose (CT)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)

I dont usually write (I read), but for the N120.

I had 2 laptops before - Dell 6000 and HP dv2000, which are very nice models.
I am very pleased with the Samsung N120!

+ Ve:
1) E 'fast. I expected to be slow, but it is not. Maybe not as fast as in other points of reference, but believe me, you have no problems in the following: (a) browsing the internet (I use Firefox), (b) the functions of Windows (c)-Music and DVDs (I use an external DVD player) (d) editing (I Photofiltre) (d) Watching HD (using 720p) trailer download (s) Office documents (f) I have a lot of freeware installed as Picasso, Juice, Mobipocket, ZoneAlarm, and AVG antivirus - no problem, and the difference from my previous fastest laptops are indistinguishable.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N311/W 10.1-Inch Frost White Netbook - 9 Hour Battery LifeReview by Laura Ramirez (Reno, NV USA)
Satisfied Rating (2/10)

I bought the Toshiba NB205 netbook-310 computer, and received last week. I was very excited after reading reviews from other Macintosh users. I was very disappointed. Overall, I spent four hours on the phone with tech support and had the computer back to factory conditions several times. Try the end (after two days to bring it up and running), the mouse pad would not respond. Behave, even with an external mouse, the cursor will not move. I gave up and took it again. Maybe I just got a lemon. Who knows?
